Get your products into Perplexity Shopping
Perplexity answers a shopping question with products from its merchant programme and from pages its crawler, PerplexityBot, has read, and it cites the pages it used.
How Perplexity finds products
Perplexity's merchant programme ingests a product feed in the Google Shopping format, so if you already keep a Merchant Center feed you have most of what it needs. PerplexityBot reads product pages as well, and because every answer carries its sources, a product page's own structured data does double duty: it helps the match and it is what gets cited.
What to do
Allow PerplexityBot in robots.txt. Keep one Google-format feed complete and current, with the attributes a question would turn on. Check that each product page's Schema.org markup states the same price, stock and attributes as the feed, since a mismatch gives Perplexity a reason to cite someone else.
What Sighted does
Sighted serves your approved catalogue as a hosted Perplexity Shopping feed in the Google format, at its own address so you can turn it on or off without touching Merchant Center. The attributes the feed and the page are missing get written from your own data in your voice. Perplexity is one of the three assistants Sighted asks shopper questions on a schedule (weekly on Pro, monthly on Growth), with the answers kept on the Results page.
